I am especially interested in hidden, rare or undiscovered adaptations of life and veiled states of existence.  While pondering relationships between timeless mysteries and ourselves, and contemplating the development of mankind as one of these mysteries, I feel as though my work is developing a more open understanding of my own transient human condition.  As a visual artist, I use my artwork to engage audience in a discussion about relationships and place, Creation and Creator.

From the simplest ways of seed dispersion, to complex interdependency within a habitat, as I consider what extraordinary capabilities life has formed, I find nature to be a rich, endless source of inspiration.  These relationships between environment and inhabitant have become a reoccurring theme and motivation woven through my films and sculptures. The sculptures I create tend to be kinetic.  They move with an attitude; they seem to make choices and have agendas.  They perform with a blend of video manipulation and actual functionality.

My work often takes the shape of a narrative story.  The allegories told remind the viewer of our ephemeral place in a greater collective journey. They also allude to the mysteries held by nature: the unknown purposes for our existence and the supernatural system empowering our course.  My films give a glimpse into an enchanting, surreal landscape; it is my hope that, like myself, the audience is left with a broader vision of what Life can yield.
