As part of my tendency to have artwork be a game-like, playful activity, my kinetic projects sometimes are derived from toys, or are actual toys in themselves.  In this way, candy has even been a form of art I have experimented with.  Some of these youth inspired sculptures are shown here.  The first pictures are of Bronze and rope tops.   Like the one above, they all have toy boxes that belong with them.  The tops are visually off-centered yet are weighted true, as demonstrated with the simultaneous spinners above.  The first video project below is an organic looking candy confection form that dissolves in a river.  This film is a memorial of the passing idea that my generation was taught about the shrinking and reforming universe theory.
